Michael E. Kitto, Ph.D., is a research scientist in the Laboratory of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry at the New York State Department of Health in Albany, NY and an Assistant Professor at the School of Public Health at the State University at Albany. His state-of-the-art laboratory conducts health studies including the surveillance, prevention, and remediation of public exposure to radioactivity from industrial and man-made sources. His efforts are directed to identify and reduce exposure to radioactivity in air, water, soil, and foods, as well as respond to cases of radiological contaminations and emergencies. |
